Factory software is incredibly valuable and important. Building it, is exceedingly difficult. Actyx is solving this problem. Our Industrial Application Platform (ActyxOS) allows developers to easily build and run powerful data-driven applications. This helps factories answer questions and increase performance. Over the last 2.5 years Actyx has grown to a team of 25 absolutely outstanding people, raised over 4 million EUR and is running in multiple factories in Europe.

Actyx Sales is spearheading the mission to bring Actyx products into as many factories as possible. To keep up with the rising market demand Actyx Sales is seeking a high-energy, execution-oriented Sales Trainee to become an integral player in driving revenue and success.

About the role:

As a Sales Trainee you will get to know enterprise software sales from the ground up. This includes being the first point of contact for potential customers in the sales cycle and being the face of Actyx at customer events and trade fairs. The Sales Trainee will work primarily as an inside sales representative out of our office in Munich.

The role of the Sales Trainee is designed to be a 12-18 months ramp up program to become a Solution Sales Manager or move to other exiting positions at Actyx.

Your responsibilities

  • Take responsibility starting on Day-1 and get your hands dirty in the field

  • Autonomously research, identify and reach out to potential clients and engage with prospects over the phone, via email and through social networks

  • Understand the prospect’s pain points and requirements in order to qualify and create a high-quality lead funnel

  • Manage thorough handover to Actyx senior Solution Sales Managers and collaborate on negotiations

  • Shape and continuously improve the internal processes as the Sales team and Actyx as a whole grows

  • Provide actionable feedback about customer needs to our product teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience, technical background would be advantageous

  • First experiences gained in sales environments or/and in contact with customers

  • Demonstrated history of tenacity and previous experience managing multiple tasks in parallel

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in German and English, third language is a plus

  • Smart and open-minded team player with highest level of integrity

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, willing to go the extra mile and seeking to jump into the startup world
